the ML protocol ⌇part 1

Leanna Bishop, expert breathwork facilitator, guides mothers, entrepreneurs, and those healing their inner child through her uniquely developed M.O.T.H.E.R.L.U.N.G. Protocol.

I've spent the last few years tediously developing the M.o.t.h.e.r.l.u.n.g protocol - an oxygen mask fitted for resilient women looking to heal their inner child and unleash their joy.

M.o.t.h.e.r.l.u.n.g is not just a protocol; she's a 10 point process that serves as a testament to the depth and potential within each of us.

Over the next few blogs, I'll share its layers, and together we'll unearth the nuances of each letter & it's respective concept.

While breathing might seem straightforward, you would be surprised at just how little understanding women have around the mechanics of breath, or its impact on our overall health and well being.

Breathing might seem like the most natural act in the world, yet so many of us have lost our innate connection to this fundamental life force.

We often find ourselves caught in shallow, automatic breaths, especially when the whirlwinds of life become intense.

Cue the very first part of the protocol

Our lives are a beautiful blend of stillness and motion, chaos and calm.

In every moment, there's an invitation to be wholly present.

To truly see, feel, and be.

And this is… Mindful - an anchoring in the now, no matter the tides of life.

The Practice

Carve out a quiet moment just for yourself. Sit or lie down, whatever feels right.

Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose. Feel the cool air, notice how your chest and abdomen rise.

Exhale slowly through your mouth, observing the warm air and the gentle fall of your body. Turn your inner gaze towards your breathing.

Without assumption or alteration, just witness your breath; its rhythm, depth, pace and the spaces in between.

When your mind begins its dance, intentionally gently guide it back to the cadence of your breath.

♾ ♾ ♾ ♾

Mindful breathing is about reconnecting, being present, and fully experiencing each inhalation and exhalation.

It's the act of consciously observing, without projection or judgement.

This Mindful practice will serve as the foundation upon which we build the remaining pillars of the M.O.T.H.E.R.L.U.N.G. protocol.
